This guild is a non-profit philanthropic organization whose purpose is to promote cooperation and exchange of ideas among those interested in quilting. We encourage and instruct members in methods and techniques of quilting. Our meetings are held the third Monday of each month at 6pm at Community Church by the Lake in the Mary Johnson Center, 40946 Big Bear Blvd., Big Bear Lake, Ca 92315.
Our Philanthropic donations have gone to the Doves, Mom & Dad Project, Historical Society, Discovery Center, Lutheran Services, and Big Bear Lake Community Church Pantry.

PROGRAMS Well, fall is almost here. Actually, by the time we have the meeting it will be just a couple days off. It is my favorite season! It’s time for our second “Members Quilt Show”. Hope you enjoyed last month’s event. Several members have signed up, but we have room for more. The category this month is “Art or Original Design Quilts. If you have something you would like to include and haven’t signed up, please email or call me so we will know how many to plan for. We will have a viewer’s choice award (1st-2nd-3rd). These awards will be announced at our November meeting. Please plan to share a little something about the project you have entered, your motivation, what you may have learned or did you make it for someone? Just a couple minutes of info. Here is the schedule for the meeting and show: 4:45-5:15 - Quilt delivery time 5:30-6:00 - Social, viewing and voting 6:00 - Meeting including sharing about entered projects October Category will be Piecing including Paper Piecing Quilts. Sign-up sheet will be at meeting. Please Note: You will be able to enter any of your projects entered in our Mini Shows, in future shows. The workshop this month is Laura Heine Collage. The info about the class is below this article. If you are interested, let me know and I will get you the supply list. Belinda has most everything need. Bring your lunch and drink. The October Workshop will be a “Charity Pillow Case” workshop. You will just need to bring your sewing supplies. Sue Hart will supply fabric for the cases. Sue has also requested that masks be worn. SPECIAL EVENTS Hello Everyone, This year's Christmas party will be held at Santana and Maverick's on Monday, December 6. Social time will begin at 5:30. You will have your choice of a chicken, steak or pasta dish. The restaurant will also be providing a dessert buffet! Please sign up at the next Guild meeting. At that time, you can select your entree. The cost to you will be $25 dollars. The Guild will pick up the rest of the tab. As in the past, please bring a wrapped, handmade, Christmas ornament.
