Native Dawn 2021 Opportunity Quilt
We are sorry to announce that our
Annual Quilt Show for 2020
will not be held this year due to the Pandemic!
The Quilt you see to the left
" Native Dawn"
will become our 2021 Opportunity Quilt.
This is the first time in 30 years that
we have not held our show
and we are all dissapointed,
however it is more important
that everyone stay safe.
We hope that you will join us next year!

Busy Bears Quilt Guild Program and Workshop Line-Up for 2021
April 19 Meeting/Workshop-April 20 Our guest speaker in April is Tina Curran. I think you will enjoy her Quilt story. She will take us on her quilting journey from the first days to now. She was a beginner once, too. Tina has been quilting for 20+ years. She now also speaks, teaches and designs patterns. The title of her talk is “My Excellent Adventure as a Quilter.” She will also present her Trunk Show. The workshop will be this darling pillow. It is one of the blocks from her “Wreath-o-rama” Quilt. The workshop will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 9:30. The cost is $20 for member. Bring your own lunch or snacks. You can email, text or call me if you are interested in attending.
May 17 Meeting/Workshop-May 18 Our May speaker is Becky McDaniel. Her lecture will be “My Applique Journey” She will talk about several types of applique techniques, passing samples around for a “hands on look”. The workshop will be her “Crazy Cushion” There are three different sizes and patterns. This project is paper pieced. I will have the sign up sheet, a sample of the cushion and the supply list at the meeting this month.
June 21 Meeting/ Workshop-June 22 When I was visiting another guild, I heard our June speaker, Sandi Corbin. I loved her lecture “ The Secret Society of Quilters” so invited her to Big Bear so all of you could hear it. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did. The workshop will be a new twist – “Invisible Machine Applique”. More details to follow.
